Master Classes
COLLEGE PREP! September 21, 6pm - 8:30pm, Fee $45 each or $75 for parent and student
Join the BCT staff for a workshop about applying to colleges for theater and musical theatre. There are hundreds of programs across the country to search through, this one day workshop will help prepare you and your child. Attention will be focused on the application process and specifically what the colleges are looking for when working through applications. This workshop is a must for any student applying for college for the 2011-2012 school year. In 2009 all 16 of Boston Children's Theatre seniors were accepted to the colleges of their choice.
College Audition Review! December 7th, 6pm - 8:30pm Fee $40 each
This master class is perfectly paired with the College Preparation class. Students will have the opportunity to show their audition package to a panel of BCT staff. They will then receive feedback on how to better hone their skills and show their abilities for the real things. College auditors really look for what makes a student stand out and the Boston Children's Theatre staff can help you show the best of what you have to offer. In 2009 all 16 of Boston Children's Theatre seniors were accepted to the colleges of their choice.
ADVANCED ACTING The Actor’s Process with Burgess Clark Ages 14 to 18

What makes each actor unique? By popular demand, Burgess Clark will be offering this advanced course open to all students interested in the craft of acting 'from the inside out.' Inner monologue, technique, and emotional truth are all explored in detail. A special emphasis is focused on discovering and focusing each individuals' dramatic voice and talents. Perfect for the emerging actor!
8 weeks, Saturdays 10:00am – 12:30pm. Fee $295

The BCT Academy is very pleased to offer this popular class. This class is open to all levels of music theatre student. Each student will be assigned scenes and songs from the Broadway canon to hone their music theatre performance skills. The class ends in a presentation of scenes for family and friends.
